By The Sea

Beach for me has been a timeless sanctuary as I walk collecting seashells with the rhythm of waves and colourful skies, looking at fishermen's boats as they sail gracefully, and wondering at the distant horizon where the sea meets the sky.

Lively to Quiet Beaches

On a lively beach I usually found joyous screams of people splashing into waves, a beach alive with activities, beachside shacks to relax, jet skis, motor boats around. After a few frequent visits to these lively beaches I found myself moving towards the waves at quiet beaches that were serene and gentle, absence of human noise allowed the natural melody of the ocean to take centre stage creating a soothing and rhythmic sound.

Morning Sea

Enjoying the beach in the early morning as the sun rises I used to jog or walk with the soft glow of the dawn and the beach gradually coming to life, awakening senses and setting a tone for the day ahead.

Fishermen's and Shells

Watching fishermen’s way of life and their boats sailing across the water, and sometimes joining fishermen in pulling their boats ashore from the sea. Seashells, these delicate treasures, each unique in shape and colour, are remnants of marine life. I often keep these as souvenirs of time spent by the sea.

Before the Rains

Visiting the beach before a rainstorm as the sky filled with smoky clouds standing by the shore waiting for raindrops. Enjoying the dramatic ambience created by the contrast of the dark sky and the restless sea.

Evening Tranquility

As the day gently slipped into the sea, the fading light created a peaceful ambience to sit on the boulders by the shore listening to music blending with the sound of waves and getting lost in the moments wondering about what lies beyond the horizon and later to find myself.

Moonlit Nights by the Sea

Sitting by the beach on moonlit nights, enjoying the stars, and feeling the cool breeze while listening to the gushing sound of waves, is a magical experience. The moonlight casting on water, could see the lights from ships docked at a distance, and sometimes, if lucky, experiencing the enchanting glow of bioluminescence.

Bioluminescence

I would always like to return or live these cherishing moments by the sea, living and capturing the spirits of the shore.

Balancing Growth and Identity: The Evolving Landscapes of Udupi and Hubli-Dharwad

Places evolve, cultures shift, and economies transform. However, while some places manage to preserve their significance, others fade. Not moving far from me, I have witnessed places around me that are evolving while holding onto their feel and quality of life, which goes beyond just material progress. On the other hand, some places struggle to develop while also losing their existing charm. Udupi Udupi, once primarily known for its ancient temples, rich culinary, fishing industry, and pristine beaches, is now witnessing a transformation that blends tradition with modern aspirations. The town, long associated with the Sri Krishna Matha and the world-famous Udupi cuisine, still retains its spiritual and cultural significance. The fishing villages continue to be integral to the region’s identity, yet Udupi is no longer just a temple town or a coastal retreat. In recent years, Udupi has quietly emerged as a preferred destination for professionals looking to escape the chaos of metropolit...

The Evolution of Software Engineering in the AI Era

Classical concept of Engineering is the application of scientific and mathematical principles to design, develop, and optimize solutions for practical problems. Traditionally, engineers are responsible for both design and implementation, ensuring that systems are efficient, scalable, and reliable. Software Engineer A software engineer applies engineering principles to the world of software. Their responsibilities include Design,  Creating system architectures, defining workflows, and planning interactions between components. Development,  Writing code that implements the design. Implementation,  Integrating, testing, and deploying solutions in real-world environments. For example, a software engineer might design a scalable payment system and also implement the logic to make it function seamlessly.  Software Engineer Without Design What happens if the design aspect is removed ? In this scenario, the engineer focuses primarily on writing code according to...
